Episode 1 Details
If you think two childhood friends and artists would have trouble shutting up about art, you're right. But don't worry, we recorded it! I took advantage of some time home to speak with my childhood friend and neighbor, awesome artist Ariel Ronayne. She has been studying art at the Paris College of Art and Design, and has reflections on experiencing art both in the US and abroad.
Discussion Points: Digital art forms and graphic communication, European and American art culture comparison, growing up with art, learning illustration and graphics
Episode 2Â Details
Maria has to live with me basically 24/7, but I forced her to devote an extra hour of attention to me to record this so you know it must be important :) In this episode, I bring on my roommate, friend, and fellow Arts Scholar Maria Soboleva. Although we live together and see each other's work often, its fun to analyze how we got to where we are now and where we see ourselves going.
Discussion topics: Russian American art influence, elementary education in arts, art and mental health, sharing and "show and tell" value
Episode 3 Details
This one takes the cake for "most edited" episode because of all the long tangents we went on initially. We get a little sidetracked, okay? But you can trust then that you're only getting the best of the best of our conversation. This episode I brought on my friend Isaiah Willet, who doesn't consider himself an artist, but has many artistic passions and interests that he offers a unique perspective on.
Discussion points: photography, curating instagram, Drag Race and Project Runway, Passion for Fashion, music playlists, top musicians, art and society
Practice/ Solo episode
*Ahem* "Musicals... musicals my friend" With its nerdy start, this is a clip from the episode I recorded by myself when I was getting a feel for the process. I couldn't recover the full episode, but if you want to listen to me talk about musicals and use a "vampire voice" at some point, this may be for you.
